Hosted by the privately owned Jane Austen Centre, Bath, it has since grown into a 10-day programme drawing over 3500 people from around the world. Jane Austen Promenade is the largest event of the festival where masses of gentlemen and ladies in regency dress promenade through the town from the Circle to the Holburne Museum. There is a soldiers camp, music and improv sessions in the gardens behind the museum all afternoon.
